MASKS MAKING

There is an enormous wealth of historic facts, anecdotes, customs and practices associated with the mask as Venice is the only city in the world where the mask became an object of common, general, everyday use for most of the year. Before, during and after Carnival, life in Venice was conducted incognito and was extremely free and adventurous. With this course, a local Maestro give to our guests an excellent opportunity for learning how to create an authentic Venetian mask:  an unforgettable experience, that will give to clients the occasion to make a true colourful work of art. Beginning from a simple white base coat they can decorate and paint their own mask personalising it and choosing among a variety of historical, classical and fantasy designs and models. The finished mask will be ready to wear at the gala dinner or to hang on a wall, a gratifying reminder of their stay in Venice.
