art, music, excellent taste and the legendary Ferrari! (6 days)


        


1st day

Pick up of the customers in Milan Malpensa or Bologna airport and transfer to Parma; welcome cocktail and rooms accommodation, welcome dinner in hotel.

 

2nd day

Excursion in Parma to admire its monuments: the beautiful medieval Cathedral Square with the Vescovado and the magnificent octagonal Baptistery, the Central Garibaldi Square with Orologio Tower, Palazzo del Governatore, the 17th century town hall, the neo-classical Royal Theatre and Farnese Theatre, the monument in honour of the composer Verdi. Lunch on your own and following excursion to Soragna to enter in the world of the most exported and famous Italian cheese, the Parmigiano reggiano, with visit at the Parmesan Museum and at a cheese factory, specialized in the production of the well-known Parmigiano (parmesan cheese) and of other typical local cheese with an explanation of the secrets of production and seasoning; tasting. Return to Parma and free time at disposal before gala dinner at Corale Verdi, very near to Ducale Garden. Return to the hotel.

 

3rd day

After breakfast, departure for  Modena for a guided visit of the historical centre with the Cathedral (world heritage site by UNESCO), Palazzo Ducale, Galleria Estense, Piazza Grande and the famous leaning bell tour known as the “Ghirlandina”, now symbol of the town. Free lunch and transfer to Maranello for the visit of the Galleria Ferrari with the possibility to see old Formula 1 cars and to buy Ferrari Gift. In the late afternoon return to Parma for relaxing walk and shopping and free dinner.

 

4th day

In the morning, meeting with the enogastronomic guide and transfer to Savignano sul Panaro, to enter the world of the production and seasoning of raw ham, one of the most important brand in the area, tasting. Following excursion to Spilamberto into the Consorteria dell’Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena to enter into the story of Aceto balsamico (balsamic vinegar), to discover its old tradition, rules and ageing technical; tasting of Aceto balsamico and of the liqueur nocino; departure for Vignola, plunged in a valley rich in cherry-trees. Walk through the old town centre with the majestic medieval stronghold Rocca dei Contrari. Stop at the famous Pasticceria Gollini to taste the Torta Barozzi, created by the family a century ago and still prepared according to a traditional recipe. Tasting of typical sweets. Light traveller’s lunch. Afternoon excursion to Castelvetro di Modena for a walk in the historical centre and a visit of the Museum of Renaissance Costumes and Piazza Castello, venue every 2 years of the historical re-enactment the Dama Vivente ( Living Draughts: competition on the giant chess board in the Castle Piazza). Dinner in a typical restaurant or trattoria and return to the hotel in Parma in late evening.

 

5th day

Morning excursion in Monte San Pietro to know one of the most important wine maker of the Region: wine tasting with his quality wines and light lunch in the restaurant near the estate with a seasonal menu. Free afternoon on your own, at disposal for walking and for the last shopping in the city of Parma or at the big Fidenza Outlet Village . Return in hotel for relaxing time and Good bye dinner in typical city Restaurant with seasonal menu.

 

6th day

After check out hotel, transfer to the airport.

If flying time permits it, we will enjoy a stop in Cremona, artistic town, well known for the Cathedral and for the marvellous churches, as well as for the production of musical instruments as Violin Stradivari: stop at the laboratory of an artisan to discover the secret of the production of violins, followed by a light traveller lunch. Transfer to airport for fly connections.
